Fundraiser at The Boston Tea Party

An event for the benefit of FFFC was organized and run by Polly Dowden and her colleagues of Pollyclinics Integrated Wellness Centre, Barnstaple, a business that incorporates alternate treatments and advice for health and well being. FFFC are so grateful for initiatives such as these. Thank you Pollyclinics and to the Boston Tea Party café chain that provided rooms for the event. We are also grateful to Vision Group for providing the original lead.

Pictured are: Dana Franks giving a cranial massage to one of the customers attracted on the day, and Helen Cole, Zumba Instructor; group: Polly Dowden, Amber-Jo Harmon and Aimee Hill (Yoga Instructor). Thanks also to Steve Shackleton and Louise Patrick (not pictured).

Fund News: Alex Clark retires

Alex was the Fund CEO and Secretary for many years. He was first appointed a trustee in 1993 and became the Fund secretary in 1997. Alex has an encyclopedic knowledge of the Fund history, charity law and charity operational work. His knowledge, expertise and organisation guided the Fund for so many years, and his retirement from the Secretary post in July 2010 has left a tremendous void for the rest of the trustees to fill. All of the remaining Trustees wish Alex well in his many other interests in community work. Alex has pledged his continued support for the work of the Fund and  continues to make himself available in an ex-officio capacity to advise and guide his successors when needed, and for which the current trustees are extremely grateful.

Alex, with his wife Norah display their presentation gifts from the trustees of FFFC.
